Yes, beginners are welcome!
Do you teach classical music?
No, despite being classically trained, Jo does not teach in this area.
Do I have to bring my own music?
Jo has a large selection of sheet music. However, if there is something particular you wish to learn that is not in Jo`s collection, you may have to purchase the sheet music yourself. Please see the links page for recommended websites.
I just want to sing for fun. Is this okay?
Yes, no problem.
Can I book some singing lessons as a present?
Yes, gift vouchers are available.
Do you accept payment by credit/debit card?
In general Jo accepts cheques and cash, but should the need arise to pay by card, Jo can accept payments via Paypal (subject to a £3.50 handling charge).
I would like to record a CD. Is this something I can do with you?
Jo can help prepare you for a session in a recording studio and put you in touch with a studio that is suitable for your needs.
What do I do when my son/daughter is having a lesson?
For trial lessons, you are most welcome to sit in on the lesson. For regular lessons, parents are not permitted to wait on the premises.
Can I bring a CD of music I would like to sing?
Yes, please do. You can also bring your mp3 player or iPod.
I am the singer in a metal band. Do you actually teach rock and metal?
Yes. Learning how not to damage your voice whilst singing rock and metal is very important. Jo is happy teaching songs by bands such as Disturbed, Metallica, Audioslave etc.
